rectal cancer staging system

we've got two more quick testimonials hello everyone my name's chris wark and i'm frommemphis tennessee and i came all the way here to tell youmy story. i was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer in 2003 i was 26 years old. there aren't a whole lot of 26-year-olds who get colon cancer it's kind of an old persons disease but i had it. i had surgery about twoweeks after the diagnosis they took out a third of my colon, took outa golf ball size tumor

when i was in the hospital, the day iwas checking out i aksed the surgeon "is there any food i need to avoid" he said "nah, just don't lift anythingheavier than a beer" the first meal they served me in the hospital after my surgery was a sloppy joe. so what i did was iwent home and ate sloppy joes and didn't lift anything heavier than a beer and here i am! (audience laughs) i'm just kidding (laughs) they told me i had to do nine months ofchemotherapy i started researching chemotherapy, when irealized it would destroy my immune

system and how ineffective it was, i decided ididn't want to do it. i had intense family pressure to meet with the oncologist. anyone inhere in this room who is pursing alternative therapy knows how intense the pressure is from family, friends and doctors to just follow the prescribedpath. so i reluctantly agreed to go meet with an oncologist my wife and i sat in his office. he toldme i had a 60% chance of

living five years, which is kinda truebecause that's what all cancer patients have. but it wasn't specifically true forsomeone with colon cancer so that's a pretty deceptive but even hearing that i was thinking okay well that's a coin toss. i asked him what other alternate therapies wereavailable and he said "none. there are none if you don't do chemotherapy you'reinsane." i asked about the raw foods diet i had been reading up on it he said "that will fight the chemo you can't do that." (audience laughter) i knew i was on to something when he said that.

i asked him... no he also said to me look you know i'm not telling you thiscuz i need your business. (audience laughter) why would you say that? that i was the furthest thing frommy mind. but then when he said it i was like oh wow, this is a business isn't it? yeah it was very telling. okay so anyway i'll went home and i went 100 percent rawvegan i drank 8 glasses of vegetable juiceeveryday. that's 64 ounces a day. i did that for

well over a year. i worked with a localnaturopath in memphis named john smothers i am i did every therapy i could find there's no magic bullet. i took everyherbal supplement i'd read about i did vitamin c ivs i got a rebounder. i ran i went to the sauna. i'm a christian. i prayed like crazymeditated on the scripture you now that was a big thing for me. and

it's been eight years. all my tests are clean. (audience applause) i had blood work done every month a several ct scans until i realized i didn't want any more that's my story. i'd love to talk to you ifyou're in the position that i was 8 years ago where you're just desperate to find somebody that's been through it the did it naturally, i'm that's why i'mhere. i'd love to talk to you. guy off camera: "where will you be?" i will be in thelobby wandering around (audience laughs) yeah, i'm the guy yeah with the black backpack and you can also find me online

i put my story and and everything i did, itried to document it to share with anybody that wants to knowwhat i did at www.chrisbeatcancer.com so you can find me online there too
